I’ve always been a huge horror & sci-fi fan with a passion for writing and on top of that, I’ve always been interested in the filmmaking process. I really enjoy sitting down to watch movies to take it all in. I have a BA (Hons) in Photography and spent the duration of my course learning how to shoot behind the scenes and promotional stills for films, so I’ve always been involved in the process of making a movie.

I’m a huge fan of the Grindhouse directors, namely Quentin Tarantino & Robert Rodriguez and I’ve got a soft spot for Rob Zombie as a director and his grimy 70’s exploitation aesthetic. I’ve gotta say though, that my favourite sub-genre is psychological horror, I love a horror that’ll play on my mind hours after I’ve watched it, Event Horizon comes to mind. Favourite horror icon? Jason Voorhees, hands down.

Here at The Scream Review, you’ll find a lot of horror and sci-fi reviews as well as the odd retrospective. I really just love writing about horror, so that’s mostly what you’ll see here, though over on Letterboxd I’ll throw my two cents in on some other genres, too.

I’m looking to turning to writing as a freelancer, and I have some big ideas for The Scream Review as I look to the future and I’ll be setting up a Patreon real soon. I love what I do, and I hope to make it my job to write about movies, but for now, it’s just my really cool hobby.

If you have any questions, comments or have a movie you’d like me to review, drop me an email at chelseascreamreview@gmail.com, I’d love to hear from you!
